I just love to teach. If I am working I am happy. I love to see the spark in the eyes of the first timer when they get it and realize that it is the most fun they have ever had. I try to make a difference every time I work with a quest. In that lesson the guest being successful is the most important thing to me.

Having started to ski at a young age, skiing or even the thought of skiing, continues to spark a childlike excitement in me as it did the first day. The greatest reward for me is to be able to pass on this same feeling of excitement to people of all ages. No matter the age, the combination of snow and skiing brings out the best in all people. To me, there is no bad day of skiing; so come on up and have some fun learning the greatest sport in the world.

My parents took our family to the mountain skiing so grew up in a family environment on the mountain. Working at Timberline gives me that family feeling and my contribution to the Ski and Snowboard school accomplishes my circle of friends and family life. Being a part time coach is a great get away on the weekends from the hustle and bustle of a stressful job during the week.

Growing up in Portland allowed me to spend the majority of my young life and my early adult life hiking, climbing, skiing and camping in, on and around Mt. Hood. Skiing since the age of 10, was then, and remains today the single most important activity in my life which includes personal skiing skill improvement and teaching others to ski and enjoy the majestic beauty of the mountains, trees, and scenic wonderments of Mt. Hood, Timberline Lodge, and the surrounding mountain areas.
