Beginner – Level 1

 

Has never skied/snowboarded or has never had a lesson.
The easiest trails to ski which are generally wide, groomed, and with a gentle slope. Green Circle trails are popular with beginners.

Novice – Level 2

 

Has had a lesson & can turn and stop in both directions. CAN NOT YET LINK TURNS.
The easiest trails to ski which are generally wide, groomed, and with a gentle slope. Green Circle trails are popular with beginners.

Advanced Beginner – Level 3

 

Is able to link turns on the easiest green runs.
The easiest trails to ski which are generally wide, groomed, and with a gentle slope. Green Circle trails are popular with beginners.

Intermediate – Level 4

 

Is able to link turns on all green & most blue runs.
Considered “intermediate” trails that are steeper than beginner trails yet easy enough for intermediate skiers to ski on. Blue Square trails aren’t extremely steep, and are typically (but not always) groomed.

Advanced Intermediate – Level 5

 

Is able to negotiate all green & blue terrain & ready to attempt black runs.
Difficult trails that are for the advanced skier and rider. Trails can be steep, narrow, and/or ungroomed.

Advanced – Level 6

 

Is comfortable riding the whole mountain & is working on refining skills.
The most difficult trails on the mountain. Reserved for skilled experts only.
